That being said, I'm not sure how test fitting would put scratches on a Carbing bar since it already fits. Test fitment would only come from one of his own bars as he was doing R&D. As for measurement scratches, this is plausible though I have no idea for certain. Either way, there is nothing wrong with taking the measurements of a starting platform in order to get a baseline for your upcoming R&D. In the end, the finished product is quite different.
